MAAEA Structure for 2016-2017:
Different members focus on different areas of work (see below)
Core group of MAAEA members makes decisions
Core members - should be willing to commit to more than just attendance
Core members can make decisions outside of the monthly meeting
To make decisions - e-mail core members
To consult membership - e-mail list serve
If a member wants to propose a project for MAAEA - need to be approved by more than 50% of the core.
To become a core member - attend ~3-4 meetings in a school year, been active, reevaluate every 6 months; (question to be considered - how to account for very active members who cannot attend meetings?)
