MAAEA Meeting Friday August 19, 2016 Katie and Go’s House 5:00PM - 7:00PM Agenda Check-In Announcements Structure Goals for 2016-2017 Collaboration with DOT-i Announcements: Quincy August Moon Fest - Canvass for No on 2 (Sunday August 21 - lion dancing at 11) Vietnamese August Moon Fest - Fields’ Corner - Towns Field - August 27 MAAEA Structure for 2016-2017: Different members focus on different areas of work (see below) Core group of MAAEA members makes decisions Core members - should be willing to commit to more than just attendance Core members can make decisions outside of the monthly meeting To make decisions - e-mail core members To consult membership - e-mail list serve If a member wants to propose a project for MAAEA - need to be approved by more than 50% of the core. We need to be more informed and to educate ourselves about this issue. Charter cap will mostly impact urban schools.  Should MAAEA plan an event to raise awareness of this issue?
